Search Upgrade

Search has been a top request, and we’re thrilled to share that we’ve completed a full overhaul. Here’s what’s new:

  • Search by title: Works now.
  • Search by description: Yes, that’s working too.
  • Search by username: Absolutely. Type “mvan” and see the magic.
  • Private shortcuts: Not searchable. Become a member today!

Our Beta Testing team has spent the last two weeks battle-testing the new search, and the results? No major issues.

What’s Next?

Hardcore users, we know what you’re thinking:
“Can we search by iOS version, date ranges, or device type?”

Not yet. Advanced search is coming exclusively for registered users. But right now, we’re laser-focused on building our next big feature: helping developers earn income.

Why This Upgrade Mattered

Let’s be honest: the old search was no bueno. The index was broken, users were frustrated, and the code? Total spaghetti. Refactoring wasn’t worth it. SOLR? Not the right investment. So, we rebuilt search from scratch—and it’s better in every way.

How You Can Help

Play around with the new search. Test it. Break it (but nicely). A special shoutout to Heismauri, who wanted to search dtik and now finally can. If you find any quirks, let us know!

  • Pagination: Not happening right now. It’s a stretch goal, and we’re prioritizing what matters most.
